Club 64 in Capri, Sofia Marinelli promoted to 3N
Club 64's young hopefuls Sofia Marinelli, Serena Marseglia, Samuele and Ottavio Mammi took part in the second edition of the Capri International Open, held from 27 to 30 October on the splendid island in the Gulf of Naples. The Club 64 youngsters had an exceptional chaperone in WGM Olga Zimina, competing in Open A and among the top seeds in the starting ranking. Not only experience for the future, but also excellent results came out of the tournament. Sofia Marinelli, already Italian youth champion and engaged in the European Youth Championships, achieved the thoroughly deserved Third National category, finishing tournament B with 4 points out of 7 and an Elo change of +82 points. An excellent tournament also for Olga Zimina, who took third place overall in Open A, won by GM Lazic.
