Luca Tazzioli triumphs in Spilimbergo and becomes a CM
A magical moment for Luca Tazzioli (born 1997), who after the thrilling Italian category championship in Civitanova Marche repeated himself just a few days later by triumphing in the tough Open B of the traditional Spilimbergo International Festival, which had a total of 36 players taking part. A well-deserved tournament victory for Luca, who after beating the top seed managed the lead of the standings and finished unbeaten with 5.5 points out of 7. His second consecutive Candidate Master performance earns him the rightful and thoroughly deserved promotion to the "master" category, the first in many years among the young chess players of Club 64.
